Our Specialty is Wildflowers, Ferns, Native

We grow many of the woodland favorites to the common roadside
wildflowers. Most plants can be purchased in the bareroot form or in pots. The
majority of our potted plants come in quart size pots or we offer some plants in
a 3" plug size. We also offer many different seed mixes for a more
economical way to plant a large area.
Just browse through our web pages to see what we have to offer
by using the links located on the left hand side of this page.
Just make sure the plant is listed for your growing zone.

Updated 07/22/2010:
We ship our potted
plants throughout the growing season which is April thru October so browse our
webpage's to see what we have.
It has been one hot summer so far. June was hot
and July is even hotter. Our normal highs during the summer is mid to upper 70's
with a few days in the lower 80's. This year we have been in the lower 80's
almost every day with some mid 80's. Which may not sound hot to many of you but
for the mountains it is hot. All this hot weather has had some effect of our
plants. Many things are blooming earlier than usual and several of the woodland
wildflowers are already going dormant with many others starting to turn brown.
Which does not hurt them they are just protecting themselves from the heat.
We are currently potting up our plugs that we
have grown from seed or cuttings for next years crop. Also this time of year we
are taking stem cuttings and getting them rotted in before winter. We are also
going through our cold frames and weeding and pulling any plants that look weak.
During July and August we are not real busy shipping due to the heat but we are
still shipping a few plants every week.
As the shipping season progress we run out of
certain items from time to time however we normally have a second crop coming on
that will be available and we try to keep this up-to-date by each plant as time
allows.
Plan for fall planting now. Go through your
landscape and see what additions you might want to make because Fall is a great
time to get many plants in the ground for a showy spring. We will start shipping
our bareroot plants in September.
